Ahead of the 2027 elections, an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State, Professor Engineer Sani Muhammad Haruna, has unveiled a large billboard in the Kan-korafi neighborhood near the palace of the Emir of Keffi, erected by one of his supporters, Maryam Zakari, also known as Hajiya Tani.
After unveiling the campaign billboard, the governorship aspirant expressed his gratitude to Hajiya Maryam Zakari for her efforts and those of the entire community, particularly his supporters. He stated that the gesture will further boost his confidence to continue supporting humanity, especially if God grants him the opportunity to become governor after the election.
He noted that he decided to run for governorship position under the platform of APC to build on the good work done by the incumbent Governor Abdullahi Sule, particularly in terms of development projects in all aspects of life, and to take the state to the next level.
The aspirant also used the opportunity to say that based on current trends, he was confident of winning the primary and main elections due to the widespread support he enjoyed from the people of the state.
For her part, Hajiya Maryam Zakari, who erected the campaign billboard in support of the governorship aspirant, said she did so because of the Prof. Haruna’s good works and commitment to the community over the years.
She noted that many young people, children, and women have benefited from him philanthropic efforts without discrimination based on religion, political affiliation, or ethnicity, even as she urged the community to support him.
Other notable figures, including Pastor Benjamin Baka, Alhaji Iyal Yakubu, and Comrade Muktar Said, who were present at the unveiling event, praised Hajiya Maryam Zakari’s vision and commitment to the governorship aspirant’s cause, saying they were not surprised by her actions given Prof. Haruna’s dedication to the development of the community. They urged the people, especially other supporters, to emulate her example.
