As the 2027 elections approach, the sociopolitical group Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative has inaugurated its Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno.

The inauguration, held in Abuja on Monday, saw the Akwa Ibom community in the FCT pledge their full support for the trio’s re-election bid.

In his welcome address, Dr. Tommy Etim Okon, FCT Coordinator of the initiative, expressed gratitude to God and commended the massive turnout of Akwa Ibom indigenes. He described the movement as a “just cause” that would deliver greater dividends of democracy. According to him, the unanimous endorsement of Tinubu, Akpabio, and Eno marks a historic moment for Akwa Ibomites in Abuja.

Dr. Okon highlighted Governor Eno’s achievements under the Arise Agenda, particularly in education, infrastructure, empowerment programs, and social investments, noting that these successes make his re-election bid straightforward. He pledged to unite supporters and galvanize votes for the endorsed leaders.

Speaking at the event, Engr. Uwem Okoko, President General of the initiative, praised Governor Eno as “the best governor in Nigeria,” citing his performance across multiple sectors. He announced plans for a five-star hotel project at the venue, which would create jobs and boost government revenue. He urged Akwa Ibom indigenes to prepare their voter cards, emphasizing solidarity with Tinubu, Akpabio, and Eno.

Prince Enobong Uwah, Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government and representative of Governor Eno, commended the Abuja chapter’s coordination. He reflected on his own political journey from community service in Abuja to his current role, encouraging all to support the movement for the welfare of the people.

The inauguration also featured the swearing-in of new executives led by Dr. Tommy Etim Okon as Coordinator and Comrade Kingsley Iwok as Deputy Coordinator. An Advisory Council chaired by Dr. Emmanuel J. Umoh was also unveiled, with prominent members including Barr. Gabriel Fan, President of the Akwa Ibom Community in Abuja. To strengthen operations, vehicles and other resources were donated to aid campaign mobilization across the FCT and beyond.

The event marked not only the establishment of a strong leadership structure but also the beginning of a coordinated political force aimed at ensuring victory for Tinubu, Akpabio, and Eno in the 2027 elections.
