2027: Ex-Senate President, Benue Community Rally Support For Tinubu, Alia

The Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo federal constituency, also known as Enone federal constituency in Benue South, has rallied support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal and state governments under President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia, respectively.

The solidarity rally, which had former President of the Senate, Senator Ameh Ebute, and other prominent APC leaders in attendance, also passed a vote of confidence on the President and the governor of Benue State.

In a statement released Monday by the organiser of the solidarity rally, which held at the weekend, Hon. Linda Ene Agada, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Town Beautification, she thanked the people of Ado/Okpokwu /Ogbadibo for coming out in thousands to declare their support and trust for Fr Hyacinth Alia, who, she added poised to develop the state against all odds.

Hon. Agada said: “I’m overwhelmed with the massive support the Governor is receiving from my federal constituency. Although the Governor has made Enone his priority. The Igumale Agila road is under construction, the Igumale Okpoga road is also there, Primary Health Care Centre in Ai-Oduh in Ogbadibo local government among others.

“In the area of appointment, the governor has given Enone the first Chairman of Benue State Internal Revenue Service from the Idoma-Igede extraction and the pioneer Director General of Public Procurement in Benue State.

“The federal constituency currently has the Deputy Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and that of the Water Resources and Climate Change. We also have the Federal Commissioner Public Compliant Commission, three Federal Board members and Board members of the State institutions, among others.”

The Lioness of Enone, as she’s popularly called, Hon. Agada said the rally was organised to show appreciation for the good work the Governor is doing and to assure him that the Ado/Okpokwu /Ogbadibo people are ready to vote him again come 2027.

According to the statement, the massive solidarity rally was received by the former Senate President, Senator Ameh Ebute, who thanked the organisers for making him proud.

Senator Ebute said President Tinubu was his colleague when he served as the President of the Senate, even as he emphasised “the need to constantly support the Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia because of the anti people’s forces against the development of Benue.

“I want to assure you that, the efforts are in order. We are hundred percent with the government, I mean, the entire zone C. I specifically thank you, Linda for making this rally possible because this is the first of it’s kind in the zone”, the former Senate President stated.

The rally was attended by the immediate past House of Representatives Member of the constituency, Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo who served as Chairman, House committee on Narcotics drugs of the 9th Assembly.

Also in attendance were Mr. Okoriko Aba, an Insurance Expert, who believes in the progress of his people. Hon. Fab Agada, a former chairman of Ogbadibo local government, the vice chairman of Ado Local Government, Jane Ikese and the deputy leader of Ado legislative Council, Hon. Sunday Otse Ogenyi.

Others were the former chairman of Okpokwu Local government Hon. Francis Olofu Ogwuche, Hon. Sabila, Hon. Aba Isaiah among others.
