The coordinator of the group and a member of Ward 12, Ogbotobo Community, Ekeremo local government area of Bayelsa State, Paul Agge, in a statement issued on Sunday, said Dickson’s proactive approach to advocating for peace, unity, and development has garnered him broad support, with numerous community leaders and organisations within Bayelsa West senatorial district endorsing him.

The group acknowledged his impactful contributions in the National Assembly, which have significantly benefitted the Niger Delta, Ijaw nation, and Nigeria overall.

It also hailed Dickson’s articulate and fearless representation in the Senate, highlighting his commitment to addressing pressing constitutional issues of national interest.

It added: “Since the passing of our elder statesman, late Pa. E. K. Clark, only Senator Seriake Dickson has been able to take the bull by the horns and stand firm for the Ijaw nation in the national polity.

“That is why we have come out to support his re-election bid, urging all and sundry to rally around him so that the voice of the Ijaw nation will not be silenced,” he stated.

“His consistent advocacy on matters affecting the Niger Delta and the Ijaw Nation reflects his dedication to equity, justice, and fairness. He is indeed the voice of the Niger Delta and the Ijaw Nation.”

“Our unanimous choice of Senator Dickson for re-election in the 2027 general elections is based on the best interest of the Niger Delta and the Ijaw Nation.

“The Ijaw Nation is fortunate to have him as its representative, especially following the passing of our esteemed Ijaw National Leader, Pa Edwin Clark. Senator Dickson has adeptly taken up this mantle during a pivotal time for our community.

“Our confidence in Senator Dickson’s capabilities and leadership excellence is unwavering. His popularity and trust among Nigerians, particularly among the people of Bayelsa West and the Ijaw Nation, have only grown stronger. We urge our fellow citizens to recognize the crucial role he has played and champion his cause in the forthcoming elections,” they added.

The group, however, reiterated its call for unity among the people of Ekeremor Local Government Area, appealing to elders, youths, women, and all stakeholders within the Bayelsa West Senatorial District to throw their support behind Senator Henry Seriake Dickson in the 2027 elections.

It said: “With the Ijaw Nation standing united behind Senator Dickson, we have the opportunity to reinforce our collective voice and ensure effective representation.

“Let’s support him in his quest for re-election, allowing him to build on the solid foundation already established for the people of Bayelsa West, the Ijaw Nation, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria as a whole.”
