The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, has vowed to leave the country if the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins the state’s governorship election in 2027.
Nakudu made the declaration while receiving the leadership of ADC youths in Jigawa State, where he expressed confidence that the opposition party would emerge victorious in the election.
According to him, the APC would not retain control of the state, insisting that voters were increasingly willing to support alternative political platforms.
The ADC candidate said his position reflected what he described as growing public dissatisfaction and hardship, particularly among young people, arguing that political change had become necessary.
He maintained that the ADC remained optimistic about its chances in Jigawa ahead of the 2027 election .
His comments come amid increasing political activities and early alignments ahead of the 2027 general election, with parties intensifying mobilisation across the country.
