2027: Information Minister Unveils President Tinubu’s Scorecard In Jigawa

Thousands of youths from across Nigeria’s North-West states gathered in Jigawa State to present the two-year scorecard of President Bola Tinubu, citing it as evidence for the need to re-elect him in 2027.

The event was marked by the launch of an empowerment grant distribution initiative for traders in Dutse’s capital market.

Speaking while receiving the entourage from the national headquarters in Abuja, which included the Minister of Information and Reorientation, Hon Muhammad Idris; minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande; minister of state for Education, Mrs  Suwaiba Said; Seyi Tinubu, and other dignitaries, Governor Umar Namadi thanked them for organising the occasion, which he described as timely.

He noted that since assuming office, anyone can testify to President Tinubu’s commitment to improving the lives of youths, whom he described as the engine room for driving national growth and development.

“All North-West Governors have followed the footsteps of President Tinubu’s policies on youth development, and I am optimistic that come 2027, Nigerian youth will stand for President Tinubu as he stands for them and for Nigeria’s peace and progress,” Governor Namadi stated.

Speaking during the Youth Pally held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Dutse, the minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, said President Tinubu has a passion and commitment for youth development.

He added that the investments made in them over the last two years have already started yielding fruitful results and urged all Nigerian Youth to rally and support President Tinubu’s policies for making Nigeria a home of opportunities for a better life.

While unveiling the two-year achievements of President Bola Tinubu, particularly in the areas of economic and youth development, the minister of Information and National Orientation, Hon. Muhammad Idris, stated that the President’s stride has rekindled hope for the country’s economic growth, as  the nation’s economic sector is now declared as healthy and promising.

The minister added that over the past two years, the president has implemented various projects and programs for youth development, recognising them as the potential leaders of tomorrow.

According to him, under the Students Loan Scheme, over 620,000 students have benefited from a fund of over N116 billion. Furthermore, over one million youths were shortlisted for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), of which 250,000 have already been posted to various centres for the first batch of training.

The Jigawa State commissioner for Information, Youth, Sport, and Culture also presented the two-year achievements of Governor Malam Umar Namadi, which have transformed the socio-economic lives of youths and set the state on a path of prosperity and greatness.
