2027: Matawalle Pledges Full Support For Zamfara APC Victory

The Minister of State for Defence and former Zamfara State governor, Dr Bello Matawalle, has pledged his full support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Matawalle made the pledge when he received the leadership of the Zamfara State chapter of the APC, led by the state chairman, Kabiru Moyi Birnin Magaji, at his residence in Asokoro, Abuja.

He assured the delegation that he would continue to contribute to efforts aimed at strengthening the party and improving its activities in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

The former governor also called for greater unity among APC leaders, stakeholders and members, saying cooperation and trust would be critical to the party’s performance in the elections.

He commended the state party leadership for its efforts to promote unity among APC members across Zamfara and urged the leaders to sustain the initiative.

A statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Assistant on Media, Ahmad Dan-Wudil, quoted Matawalle as saying that the party’s unity should go beyond its leadership and executive members to encompass all its members across the state.

He urged party leaders, stakeholders and members to work together with sincerity and trust, saying a united party would be better positioned to pursue its objectives ahead of the 2027 elections.

“If the leaders and members of the party unite and work together with sincerity and trust, there is no doubt that the APC will achieve a resounding victory in the 2027 elections, Insha Allah,” he said.

Matawalle also stressed the need to strengthen the party’s structures to enable it effectively carry out its responsibilities and activities across the state.

He described unity as the foundation of success for any political party.

“Unity is the foundation of every form of success,” Matawalle said.

The former governor further urged the party leadership to ensure that all stakeholders and members were carried along in its activities, stressing that unity should not be limited to the party’s leaders and executives.

Earlier, the Zamfara APC chairman, Magaji, said the delegation visited Matawalle because of his position as a major stakeholder and one of the leaders with whom, he said, Allah had blessed the party in the state.

Magaji said the delegation also sought Matawalle’s guidance and advice on issues concerning the future of the APC and the overall development of Zamfara State.

He stressed the importance of continued cooperation among party leaders and stakeholders as the APC prepares for the 2027 general elections.

The chairman said strengthening consultation and cooperation among the party’s leaders would be important as the party intensifies its preparations for the elections.
