Lawmakers from Nasarawa State House of Assembly are in solidarity with Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada as he submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms, a prerequisite to contesting for the governorship election in 2027.

Wadada spent most of his public life as a legislator, first; as a member of the House of Representatives, and now, a senator of the Federal Republic.

His aspiration enjoyed the support of  the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and that of Governor Abdullahi Sule, who publicly announced him as his preferred aspirant.

Both past and new members of the state assembly accompanied the chairman Senate Committee on Public Account, who they referred as “our own”, to the national headquarters of APC where he submitted his forms.

Also on his entourage were all the chairmen of the 13 local government areas of the state led by ALGON chairperson, Sifiyanu Isah Andaha.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the chairmen had earlier declared their support for his aspiration.

The state government also showed its presence at the event through the deputy governor,  Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, while aspirants for the governorship seat, including member of House of Representatives, representing Awe/Doma/Keana Constituency, Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba and Ahmed Mohamed Musa, who earlier stepped down for Wadada, were on ground to lend their support.

Senator Wadada praised President Bola Tinubu for his economic reform which has restored Nigeria’s status as the continent’s leader.

He said the reform was impacting positively on the economy going by the massive infrastructural development going on across all the states of the country.

The senator also paid glowing tribute to Governor Abdullahi Sule for repositioning Nasarawa into one of the fastest growing economy in the country.

The senator acknowledged fellow aspirants who stepped aside following Governor Sule’s adoption of his candidacy, saying their conduct demonstrated honour and integrity.
