Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), Hope Uzodimma, has declared that the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu justifies a second term in office, unveiling a nationwide mobilisation structure of more than 4.4 million canvassers ahead of the 2027 general election.

Uzodimma made the declaration in Abuja during the National Mobilisation Retreat of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), themed “Building a Unified National Mobilisation Architecture.”

The event brought together leaders of the ruling party, governors, ministers, political stakeholders and mobilisation coordinators from across the country.

According to the governor, the mobilisation network has already been deployed nationwide to strengthen grassroots engagement and communicate the achievements of the current administration ahead of the next election cycle.

He said President Tinubu had shown courage by implementing difficult reforms that previous administrations avoided, adding that the administration’s economic and development policies were beginning to yield results despite initial challenges.

Uzodimma pointed to investments in infrastructure, healthcare, social intervention programmes and economic reforms as indicators of the government’s commitment to national development.

He explained that the mobilisation structure extends across the six geopolitical zones, all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, 774 local government areas, 8,809 wards and 176,846 polling units nationwide.

According to him, the organisation plans to deploy 25 canvassers to each polling unit, creating what he described as a lawful civic force of over 4.4 million people across the federation.

Uzodimma stressed that the initiative is designed not only to build political support but also to improve public understanding of government policies and reforms.

Other speakers at the retreat included Uba Sani, who urged members to deepen grassroots communication between government and citizens; Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who described the retreat as a step toward building a stronger national mobilisation network; and Atiku Bagudu, who expressed confidence that ongoing reforms would stabilise the economy and create growth opportunities.

The retreat is expected to produce a national grassroots mobilisation blueprint, strategic communication frameworks and state-by-state action plans to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of future political engagements.
