“We have prepared well on technical level for the teams and we expect a high standard of football across all the cadres,” he said.

For the scholarships, 20 young students will be beneficiaries from six football zones in the country.

The brain behind the project, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, said giving hope to young ones has always been a passion for him.

“We are always happy to put smiles on faces of people who many could have considered hopeless,” Akinwunmi said.
