2Baba Marks 51st Birthday With ‘Mental’ Featuring Fave

Nigerian music icon 2Baba has marked his 51st birthday with the release of a new single, “Mental,” featuring singer Fave.

The song was released on Friday, September 18, coinciding with the veteran artiste’s birthday, according to his manager and partner, Mallam Yankee.

The collaboration brings together 2Baba’s established artistry and Fave’s contemporary sound, adding another release to the veteran singer’s catalogue.

The birthday celebrations will continue on Saturday, September 19, with a special dinner, an album listening party, and the launch of 2Baba Jollof on Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event, scheduled for 7 pm to midnight, is expected to bring together friends, colleagues, celebrities, industry stakeholders and guests to celebrate the singer’s career and latest creative projects.

The album listening party will also offer guests an opportunity to hear songs from 2Baba’s forthcoming project, while the launch of 2Baba Jollof forms another part of the birthday programme.

The release of “Mental” comes as the music veteran begins another year, with the new single and forthcoming album adding to his continuing musical output.
