Nigerian music star 2Baba will release his first studio album in six years on November 27, with the forthcoming project titled Oldest Young Man.
The singer, whose real name is Innocent Idibia, announced the date on Instagram on Tuesday, calling the album “timeless music”.
“The legacy continues. OLDEST YOUNG MAN drops 27.11.26. Timeless music, no expiration date,” he wrote.
The release will follow Warriors, his eighth studio album, which arrived in 2020. 2Baba has continued to promote the new project in recent months, repeatedly using its title in social media captions.
In August, he hinted at the album with a message reflecting on his journey: “I’ve lived it, I’ve seen it, I’m still here.” He also referred to himself as “forever the oldest young man” in a birthday post.
The veteran singer began his career composing jingles before forming Plantashun Boiz with Blackface and Faze in 1996. After the group split, he launched a successful solo career with Face 2 Face in 2004, followed by albums including Grass 2 Grace, The Unstoppable and The Ascension.
2Baba remains one of the influential figures in Nigerian Afropop, with a career spanning more than two decades.
