The assembly, which represents the Isese community in Nigeria, had indicated its readiness to organize a one-day interactive session with stakeholders in the film industry and skit makers in southwestern Nigeria.

The group’s national publicity secretary, Awo Ifatayo Awolade, stated in a statement yesterday that the event’s targeted participants were actors, directors, producers, scriptwriters, film and skit makers, and content creators and makers. They will interact with leading and practicing Onesies on Thursday, September 12th, 2024, at Onasode Hall, International Conference Center, University of Ibadan.

According to him, it has become imperative to call for the gathering to reorganize the Isese community at large in Yorubaland, create new innovations, and enduringly strengthen capacities to deal with challenges encountered in Yoruba divinatory practices, traditions, spirituality, heritage, and religion, which is known as Isese.

He said the event would be hosted by the revered Yoruba elder, High Chief Ifayemi Elebuibon, the Araba Awo of Osogbo, Osun State.
