Two others who sustained various degrees of injuries in the attack escaped and are receiving treatment at Federal University Teaching Hospital, Wukari.

The attackers, who according to a survivor (name withheld) were suspected Tiv militias, killed the victims who rode motorcycles from Sukundi to Wukari for their family meeting.

She said  after killing the deceased, the militias fled the scene with two of the motorcycles belonging to the victims to an unknown destination.

“The attackers carried guns, with three on each of their motorcycles they rode on,” she said.
