The project, a Global Affairs Canada five-year initiative, aims to improve the health and nutrition status of women, adolescents, and children in the benefiting states.

Chief Field Officer of the UNICEF Field Office, Sokoto, Mr Michael Juma, revealed this yesterday at a two-day state engagement meeting in Birnin Kebbi.

Michael Juma said the project would be executed through UNICEF to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Kebbi and other benefiting states.

The health manager of the Global Affairs Canada Initiative, Martins Dolhsten, said the $10.7m would be expanded for five years in the three states of Kebbi, Kaduna, and Bauchi.
