In a bid to ameliorate the suffering of the masses amidst untold hunger and hardship bedeviling the country, The LEGIT Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded by Francis Bartholomew Chima (OmoBarca), has been giving out food to over 3,000 people daily in the Ajegunle area for the 30 days of Ramadan fast.
The idea is to help people fasting break their fast and also support homes and individuals who have challenges to feed.

The Ramadan food gifting for the masses, which started daily since Ramadan fast kicked off, will continue till the end of the fasting period.
The free food, which has been the only source of daily feeding to many in the area, especially amidst the hunger in the land, according to the Founder of LEGIT Foundation, Francis Bartholomew Chima (OMOBARCA), is to make people smile, especially during Ramadan.
Chima said the foundation will feed the masses throughout the Ramadan period, explaining that one cow is being slaughtered each day with three bags of rice cooked and served to thousands that besiege the centre located at Mba Street, Ajegunle.

In a statement, the founder explained that The LEGIT Foundation had consistently fed thousands of people, especially during Ramadan, for the past ten years.
Chima stressed that to him, providing food for the masses is also a way of supporting the government.

Chima, who said the programme has no political or religious inclination, added that the food gifting is to feed the masses, especially the downtrodden, as hardship bites.
He revealed that LEGIT Foundation also takes food to different locations every evening to feed those in need for them to have easy access to the free food.
He said, “Bringing Joy to the masses gives me Joy. Giving is part of me and I am happy when others are happy. I started giving people free food especially during Ramadan since 2015.
