35-yr-old Man, Teenager Arrested For Raping 2 Minors In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two (2) persons for allegedly raping two underage girls at Sangere Futy in Girei local government area of the state.

Spokesman of the Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje who confirmed the arrest, gave the identities of the suspects as 35-year-old Bala Muhammed, and Usman Abdullahi, 17, both residents of Sangere Futy.

SP Nguroje said the suspects raped two girls, ages 11 and 14 respectively.

He explained that the police command received complaints on the 22nd January, 2025, where the two suspects were accused of perpetrating the crime.

Nguroje explained that the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Dankombo Morris deployed personnel of the Command following the complaint, leading to the successful arrest of the accused persons.

One of the suspects, Bala Muhammed reportedly confessed to the crime during interrogation, saying his deed was a mistake.

On his part, 17-year-old Abdullahi who also admitted to raping the little girl, however blamed the devil for his act.

CP Morris assured that the suspects will be prosecuted upon the completion of investigation.
