No fewer than 36 people have emerged as winners in a Lagos popular television game show, ‘The Price is Right.’

The series producer “The Price is Right” Nigeria, Antonia Adeniyi, expressed her elation at the show’s successful launch, stating, “It’s one thing to have a dream, and it’s another to see your dream being achieved.

“As the longest-running television game show, having it in Nigeria is a big deal. I do not just have it here, but I also see that the entire crew cast of the game is strictly Nigerian. We had a great time. It was a massive task, but trust me, we conquered it.”

Adeniyi explained that the show produced 36 winners from nine episodes, with four winners per episode, noting that this prize redemption event is not the end of the game show.

“It runs year-in, year-out. We had to do the prize redemption together because of logistics.

“So we had to get the first batch of the prize redemption happening today. This is our first prize redemption event this year, but it won’t be the last. We will do this quarterly for the winners from episode 10 to episode 18. So this is going to run year-in, year-out,” Adeniyi said.

The winners who redeemed their prizes at an event held in the Oregun area of Lagos State said they thought the television programme was untrustworthy.

Winners from various episodes collected their prizes, which ranged from electronics to cash rewards.

One of the jubilant winners, model Patience Nate, couldn’t contain her excitement, saying, “I feel like flying. I feel like just growing wings and flying because I feel so honoured. My head is swelling. I am happy.”

Nate, who received an email invitation to participate, initially had reservations about clicking the link but eventually registered and was called to play.

“Normally, I don’t click a link, but I just clicked on this one and registered. Then they called me to come and play. I came with an expectation that I would go back with a car or something bigger. I didn’t win up to that, but I’m grateful for the 42-inch television and steam iron. It means a lot. I’m happy,” she shared.
