4 Die As Vehicle Rams Over Tricycle In Ogun

Four persons lost their lives when a yet-to-be-identified driver rammed his vehicle into a commercial tricycle in Ilaro, the headquarters of Yewa South local government area of Ogun State, on Monday.

The accident, which occurred at the Oke Iganmu area of Ilaro town, involved a yellow coloured commercial tricycle with registration number DED 425 WB and a vehicle.

The Public Education and Enlightenment Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, Florence Okpe, who confirmed the incident, attributed cause of the crash to over-speeding and dangerous driving.

Okpe explained that the hit-and-run driver ran away, having discovered that all the four occupants of the tricycle, which comprised of two males and two females, died in the accident.

She, however, stated that corpses of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of the State Hospital in Ilaro.
