51 Countries, 6,000 Attendees To Address African Local Content

No fewer than 6,000 attendees, mostly from 51 foreign countries are expected to offer solutions and ways to accelerate African contents at the Sub-Saharan Africa International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (SAIPEC).

The conference, which will take place in Victoria Island, Lagos

from 13-15 February 2024 has as it’s theme: ‘The Next Steps: Accelerating African Content.’

This premier industry event is hosted by the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) in strategic partnership with the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and NNPC Limited.

The theme focuses on local content and how the sector can be more inclusive.

SAIPEC is a multilateral platform and the ideal place to showcase billions of dollars of opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa’s energy, oil and gas industries. The conference plays a vital role in charting the pathways to developing the continent’s untapped energy resources.

SAIPEC represents more than 30 NOCs, IOCs, governments, and regulators, making it the ideal industry event. The conference offers promising topical debates, informative speaker sessions and critical insights into the region’s hydrocarbon businesses.

SAIPEC 2024 is expected to draw some 6,000 attendees from 51 countries, and the programme features over 100 speakers from across Africa.

Conference attendees will have direct access to the primary stakeholders and key players across the entire Sub-Saharan Africa supply and value chains.

The not-to-be-missed SAIPEC exhibition will also run from 13 – 15 February and is free to attend while many exhibitors from various companies involved in the energy industry will be exhibiting products at SAIPEC.

The formal conference runs from 13- 15 February, with an emphasis on the future of the energy, oil, and gas industry, regional collaboration and country-specific showcases, the energy transition, diversity, equality inclusivity and youth empowerment.

However, SAIPEC’s complete programme runs for five days, starting with the 3rd African Content Series seminar on 12 February and ending with PETAN’S golf day on 16 February. Numerous B2B networking and partnership opportunities will be available throughout the conference.
