The first batch of 560 Kwara State pilgrims on Sunday returned to Ilorin after the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

The pilgrims arrived at the Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin, aboard a Max Air flight at about 12:23 pm, accompanied by three officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

On arrival, the pilgrims expressed gratitude to Allah for a spiritually fulfilling journey, while also commending the Kwara State Government for its support throughout the exercise.

One of the pilgrims, Alhaji Abdul Ganiy Na’Allah Pako, praised the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board for what he described as seamless arrangements covering accommodation, feeding and transportation during their stay in Saudi Arabia.

Similarly, a female pilgrim, Alhaja Rasheedat Saka, also appreciated the state government, noting that the 2026 Hajj exercise was smooth and hitch-free.
