Among those abducted is a lactating mother, as scores others sustained injuries with yet-to-be-confirmed number of residents missing.

Our correspondent gathered from a local source who craved anonymity, that the fresh killings occurred in the early hours of Friday when gunmen invaded the community and started shooting sporadically at residents who were running to safety.

A toddler was also killed in the attack while the mother was forcefully taken into custody by the invaders.

“The attack on the community started in the wee hours of Friday, the number of corpses recovered on the spot were seven while a search for missing people was still ongoing,” a resident said.
