A seven-year-old boy, Mohammed Mohammed, of Emiliman Nasarafu Ward in Bida, Bida local government area of Niger State, is missing after being reportedly carried away by flood after a heavy rainfall.

LEADERSHIP Weekend learnt that Mohammed was sent to a neighbour’s house immediately after the rain stopped and the flood that had destroyed a drainage under construction took him away.

It was gathered that because of an on-going construction,  huge volumes of water diverted to the area led to the destruction of buildings and business premises and unknown to the parents, Mohammed was caught up in the heavy flow.

His father, Mohammed Usman, attributed the incident to the will of God.

He said, “My pain is that, up to this moment, the corpse of the boy has not been found.”
