The violators were arrested at various locations in the capital, during the observation of the state’s environmental sanitation exercise for this month

The violators were brought before Magistrate Onyinyechi Ibekwe at the state’s High Court complex and admonished to be of good character henceforth by obeying the order.

Speaking to the media after monitoring the exercise, the commissioner for Environment, Philemon Ogbonna expressed satisfaction with the turn up of the residents for the exercise.

He, however, warned the people in general against messing up the environment during the yuletide and the New Year celebrations “especially burning of tires in the road.”
