Eight children from Nigeria’s children-based hub, Indomie Fan Club (IFC), emerged winners at the IFC arts competition. The club said in a statement that the Indomie’ Team Yourself Up’ grand finale, hosted by Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, culminated in an impressive showcase of creative talents and artistic skills.”Following a rigorous evaluation by a panel of expert judges, winners emerged from the competitive event, demonstrating exceptional abilities in arts and crafts.

The 9th edition, held on the 18th of October, 2024, at the Tolu Odugbemi Hall, University of Lagos, drew participation from over 30 schools nationwide, with over 50,000 entries. The best 200 artworks were chosen from a pool of entries and featured at the grand finale.”

The Grand Prize winner, Fifehanmi Feyisitan, took home N500,000 and a year’s supply of Indomie Noodles. Mildred Kalu secured the 1st runner-up spot with N100,000, followed by Oluchi Elenedu, 2nd runner-up, N75,000, and Gloria Bamisaiye, the 3rd runner-up, N50,000 award rounding out the top winners,” the statement read.Explaining the concept of “Team Yourself Up” and the Indomie Fan Club, manager and coordinator of the Club, Faith Joshua’s initiative provides an engaging platform for children and parents to connect. “Recognising the challenges of many parents’ busy schedules, the initiatives encourage creative bonding experiences for them and their children.

Leveraging school breaks like the August vacation, this program inspires kids to collaborate with family members to come up with creative ideas, have fun and collaborate with their parents, guardians, elderly relatives or any such adults who fit the role. The overriding idea is for children to team up with an adult family member, unleash their creativity, and win prizes.”
