9mobile has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering reliable service to its customers, despite recent challenges caused by a fire at its main data center in Lagos.
The telecom operator assured its customers that restoration efforts are progressing rapidly, with services already reinstated in parts of the country.
9mobile, in a press statement, made available to LEADERSHIP, explained that the fire, which occurred on Tuesday night, temporarily disrupted voice, data, and internet services, especially in Lagos and the South-West.
The company expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Fire Service for their prompt response, which prevented further damage.
Prior to the fire incident, the company faced service interruptions due to multiple fibre cuts and vandalism in Lagos and Abuja. However, 9mobile emphasised its resilience and the dedication of its technical team in addressing these challenges.
“Our top priority is ensuring seamless connectivity for our customers. While this has been a challenging period, we are working around the clock to restore full services nationwide,” the statement read.
Services have already been restored in the North and South-South regions, with work ongoing in other affected areas. 9mobile also pledged to implement additional measures to strengthen its infrastructure and minimize future disruptions.
“We value the trust our customers place in us and are committed to enhancing their experience,” the company added.
