A socio-cultural group, Sagbama Patriotic Front (SPF), has expressed the hope that the member-elect for Sagbama Constituency III in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mrs. Ebizi-Ndiomu Cockeye Brown, will represent the area effectively in the House.

SPF, in a statement made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Friday, described Brown as an outstanding Amazon who, metaphorically fits in as

‘the square peg in a square hole’.

The statement, which was signed by the group’s Chairman,

Funpre Asanebi and Secretary, Ayibagbegigha Tonipre, stated that the entry of the female lawmaker-elect into House of Assembly would birth a new dawn for Sagbama Constituency III constituency.

The group also described the emergence of Brown as not only a dream come true but a divinely ordained project for Sagbama

local government area of Bayelsa State.

The statement reads in part: “We have been expectant, elated, fascinated and keenly await the D-Day when our Assembly member-elect will be inaugurated into the 10th Assembly alongside other lawmakers across the state, and we are convinced that through her, the overall interest of Sagbama Constituency III will be highly protected.

“And to cap it up, she will bring her wealth of knowledge, experience and wisdom to bear, with quality lawmaking for the good of our people.”

While commending the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for giving Sagbama Constituency III a personality in the mold of Brown, the SPF pledged to give the lawmaker-elect all necessary cooperation to succeed, even as it also implored the full support of all her constituents in the tasks ahead.
