Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) shared photos of students in Sudan queuing up to board buses to Egypt enroute to Nigeria.

The Commission said the Nigerian evacuation team in Sudan received some buses yesterday to transport Nigerian Students to nearby borders in Egypt. The students will depart today and subsequently be airlifted from Egypt to Nigeria.

LEADERSHIP reports that a set of five 200-seater buses were said to have driven into the meeting point of International University Of Africa, Khartoum at exactly 7:30pm local time (5:30pm – Nigerian time), with two Hilux trucks of security personnel and a small bus of embassy.

The Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Habib Ahmed had earlier met with the Nigerian Ambassador to Egypt, Amb. Nura Rimi, on the reception preparation for Nigerians who are being moved from Sudan to Egypt.
