Kwara State government through its educational reform initiative, KwaraLEARN, has showcased its innovative platform at the sub-Saharan EdTech Fund (SEF) Monitoringand Evaluation Co-Creation Workshop held in Kenya.

The event provided an opportunity for the state government to demonstrate its commitment to providing basic quality education and showcase its impressive track record in learning outcomes.

At the SEF workshop, KwaraLEARN demonstrated how its platform has helped to improve educational outcomes in Kwara State, particularly in under-resourced communities. The platform has been successful in addressing the challenges of access and quality in education, and has been particularly effective in improving learning outcomes.

In a statement, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs Kemi Adeoshun, said, ‘‘We are proud to have showcased KwaraLEARN at the SEF workshop and to have also shared our experiences and insights with potential Investors. We believe KwaraLEARN has become a veritable tool to measure the performance of literacy and numeracy in the state. About 7,207 and 125,581 teachers and pupils respectively are currently part of the KwaraLEARN programme.”

She said KwaraLEARN aims to significantly improve learning outcomes by transforming all government primary schools in the state into powerful public schools using innovative technology and data-driven platforms, coupled with high-quality learning materials and technology-enabled support teams to create 360-degree support for learning outcomes.
