Education Officer, Eastern Naval Command, Commander Jennifer Aladi Oklobia, made the call while answering questions from journalists in Akpabuyo, Akpabuyo LGA of the State, at the premises of Navy Secondary School on Saturday.

Oklobia stated that with the just concluded quiz competition and debate, participants’ intellectual/mental capacities would have gotten a boost, adding that the competition served as an avenue to bring improvement to the cognitive and mental abilities of post-secondary school students.

The academic exercises included quiz competition, debate and exhibition, held at the premises of Navy Secondary School (NNSS).

Oklobia stressed that the Navy and its schools considered the just-concluded competition as an avenue to improve on students’ cognitive and mental abilities.

“These are required to position their skills on science, technology, essay writing, mathematics and technology,” she said.
