The National Assembly Service Commission (NACS) will do everything within its powers to ensure the success of the federal government’s anti- corruption war, the executive chairman of the commission, Engr Ahmed Kadi Amshi, has said.
Amshi stated this while hosting officials of the commission’s unit of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) who paid him a courtesy visit yesterday.
A delegation of the NASC ACTU led by its chairman, Barr Festus Ajiboye, had called to brief the chairman on its activities and collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to ensure transparency in the activities of the commission.
Engr Amshi told the anti-corruption watchdog that the commission would always provide it all the things it needs to succeed in its work.
“It is great work you people are doing. There is a need for sanity and transparency in the system. We will not hesitate to provide you with all the things, materials and the good environment you require to make your work successful,” he said.
The NASC ACTU was inaugurated about two years ago to help monitor and report sharp practices in the operations of the commission to eliminate such practices and enthrone transparency.
