To empower women in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) a non-governmental organisation, Better Life has partnered with the Jaiz Bank to give more women access to interest-free loans.

The women have been trained by the Better Life for Women Initiative with all state coordinators in attendance where they were trained on how to improve small and medium enterprises and how to access free non-interest loans from Jaiz Bank.

The managing director of Jaiz Bank, Mallam Aliyu assured participants that the bank is ready to support the women in business with loans to improve their business in Nigeria.

Speaking during the training, the director general of the network, Dr Prince Ajisefini Ayodeji Tajudeen, said women are vital working tools for national development.

“God created man and woman for a purpose and women are models. When you empower a woman, you have empowered the whole nation,” Tajudeen said, adding that the Better Life for Women Network is poised to unleash the potential of Nigerian women with small and medium enterprises to redefine their future.

He said a better life for women network is set to mentor and train women with small and medium enterprises to improve their businesses in their local areas.

“So many Nigerians leaving the country to other countries of the world for greener pastures because of pressure from their wives. If your wife is working or has her business, the pressure will be less. That’s why we are empowering women to be self sufficient,” he added.
