Popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, on Monday, removed the verification tag attached to the account of the immediate-past Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
The action followed change of profile photo by the account owner.
Osinbajo replaced his profile photo on Monday as he ceased to be Nigeria’s vice president.
The micro-blogging site also left the verification tag of former President Muhammadu Buhari as no change has been made to the account’s profile photo.
As at now, Osinbajo has 4.2million followers on Twitter and has tweeted 3,943 tweets.
On the other hand, Buhari, who has 4.6million followers and has tweeted 5,872 tweets, still has his verification tag on.
