A Nigerian based in the United Kingdom (UK), Mr Peter Ayeni, is set to launch a platform to train Nigerians interested in shifting career paths to the technology sector with the concept of “Tech-Clarity”.

Ayeni, a senior software engineer in one of the leading UK companies disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja over the weekend.

He said the idea behind Tech-Clarity coach was rooted in recognising the rapidly growing importance and influence of technology in every sector of the economy.

He said tech roles have continued to be in high demand, adding that this is because it offered attractive opportunities for problem-solving, innovation, and high earning potential.

Ayeni however said that transitioning into a tech career could be daunting, especially for those without a background in the field.

He said those who could take advantage of Tech-Clarity includes; those who are just starting their careers, those looking to change careers, and those who wanted to leverage on technology in their existing roles.

“Tech-Clarity coach aims to break down the barriers to entry and demystify the process of shifting to a tech career.

“It includes understanding the landscape of tech jobs, assessing personal skills and interests, navigating the job market, acquiring necessary tech skills, and building a professional portfolio, to thrive in the new tech role,” he said.

He stated further that the objective was to provide a comprehensive resource that would help individuals to make informed decisions and equip them with necessary skills and tools, to transit into a rewarding tech career.

The software engineer said the platform would increase understanding of the variety and scope of roles available within the tech sector, as well as the skills required to succeed in such roles.
