Disturbed by the plight of the less privileged and the vulnerable, members of Auchi Oldies 8089 (AO8), have called on the well to do in the society to give succour to them at all times.

The president of the group, Peter Nwadei, gave the advice at the occasion of their re-union when they visited Priesthood Orphanage home, Abuja, saying that giving them succour add to their sense of belonging.

On their achievements, he said a Multipurpose Amphitheatre is being constructed by Dr Ebenezer Onyeagwu, GMD, Zenith Bank, to be delivered in a short time, and request for computers by the school for the I.C.T Laboratory is being treated, while awards and recognition have been given to some excellent students.

“Others are Knight Frank Int. Ltd promise to employ and train five outstanding graduates of School of Estate Management yearly while he said Life Insurance scheme has been fashioned out for members and they are already keying in,” Nwadei stated.

“The oldies assembly has enabled bonding and networking among us with immense benefits since the first reunion in Benin in 2019, again in Dallas, USA until the Abuja Re-union. We should keep up the tempo,” he said.

While expressing satisfaction with the care and love the managers of the orphanage show to the orphans, he said, “I am marveled because the show of love and the care is tremendous and therefore commendable. As long as the members remain intact, there is great hope for the children.

“One of our aims is to give succour to the less privileged and the vulnerable, giving them a sense of belonging, thereby putting smiles on their faces,” he said.
