The Network of Support Groups For Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, TNSG, has advised the President to beware of former Rivers State governor, Nyesome Wike and his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, integrity group, consisting of Governor Seyi Makinde, ex-Govs Samuel Ortom, Okezie Ikpeazu and immediate past Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

TNSG said that the PDP discenting members’ overbearing tendencies were becoming visible and such will not do Tinubu’s administration any good both now and in the future.

In a statement released by the Publicity Secretary of the group, Comrade Simeon Abubakah Ali and endorsed by its Chairman, Mr. Kazeem Mohammed in Abuja, on Friday, the group raised concerns about Wike’s frequent access to the President and the way he is going about it may definitely affect the administration and political governance negatively.

“We are not comfortable with the conducts of former Governor Wike around the President. Yes! Bola Tinubu is the President to all but Wike for who he is should not be allowed unfettered access to him. It will be sending a wrong signal to the people especially those who committed all and stood firmly by Tinubu in the South East and South South of Nigeria despite all the threats.

“What did the former Enugu Governor bring to the table rather than the fact that he worked against Tinubu and his interest in his state. He made sure he funded and sponsored a faction within the Enugu APC to distabilise the APC in Enugu state and sponsored a protest against Asiwaju led by former Governor sullivan Chime and Senator Ken Nnamani, during Asiwaju’s Enugu campaign rally and refused to garner any substantial votes for the president.

“What did Ortom bring to the table, somebody that campaigned against Tinubu for Obi in Benue state or is it Ikpeazu, how much of votes did Tinubu gather in Abia State? and today they are claiming to have lost their respective elections due to their support for Asiwaju, while using former Gov. Wike to lobby for Ambassadorial and ministerial appointments to the detriment of those who worked for the victory of our party,” the statement read in part.

The Support group urged President Bola Tinubu to beware of the past governors it described as ‘gold diggers’, trying to reap where they did not do sow.

The group disclosed that APC party loyalists were beginning to wonder on what premises Mr. President wants to accommodate the PDP dissidents who worked against President Tinubu and never gave him a chance in their respective states.
