The failure of Nigerian leaders to emulate the virtues of the late Dan Masani Kano, Yusuf Maitama Sule, has been blamed for the poor governance in the country.
This was the claim of a young author, Isah Rabe Kambarawa, who wrote two books titled: “The Politics of Yusuf Maitama Sule” and “Quotes to Remember Yusuf Maitama Sule” and called for the revival of his virtues for students and youths to emulate and change the fortune of the country.
He said Nigerian leaders have failed in making the nation great as long predicted due to poor and corrupt leaders who are desperate to remain in power by all means, neglecting the good virtues of the founding fathers, like the Maitama Sule.
The author said his books are about the roles the Dan Masani Kano played in preaching good leadership, uniting Nigeria and Africa in general.
He pointed out politics of competence, integrity, zero interference, humility and morality as lessons that were exhibited by Maitama Sule.
