Eid-el-Kabir: Benue CP Orders Tight Security

The Commissioner of Police Benue State Command, CP Okoro Alawari Julius has charged officers of the command to properly secure all entries and exit routes in the state before, during and after the celebration of Eid-el- Kabir.

The command’s spokesperson Catherine Anene who disclosed this in a statement quoted the CP as directing all the area commanders, divisional police officers and tactical commanders to personally lead the Sallah security operations.

She said, “The officers deployed are to also ensure high visibility and confidence building patrols around prayer grounds, event centres, residential areas and other places of public resort to ensure a hitch free celebration.”

While felicitating with all Muslim faithful in the state, the CP urged them to pray for the peace and stability of Benue.

He also advised members of the public to report any suspicious person(s) to the nearest police station or call the following emergency numbers 0806 600 6475, 0706 737 4913 for quick response.
