According to a short message sent out by the former minister early on Monday, Ibrahim died in Iran where he went for treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

The Turaki family was, however, yet to release any further information on burial arrangements and when the body of the deceased is expected to be flown back into the country.

The late Ibrahim was known to have worked closely with the immediate-past Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, with whom he had been associated for several years.
