The Kind Of Staff We Need

So, back to my hospital gist. The Lab tech led me to another seat and took the blood that was to be tested from my inner elbow by himself. It was painless and even better, it was expertly done. He found my vein easily in the same inner elbow that the other silly annoying lab tech had failed to find.

I heaved a sigh of relief and thanked the elderly man. He had a kind smile on his face as he told me when to come back for the results of my test. This got me thinking silently, “These are the kind of people we need in the health sector.”

I mean, while I can sometimes understand their frustrations, they should not pour it out on patients please. We are paying for their services and they should treat us accordingly and with respect. After all, coming to the hospital wasn’t free. Also, this behaviour of looking down on already sick patients, stresses them out.
