Kebbi College Of Nursing NASU Elects New Officers

Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of the College of Nursing Sciences, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State has elected the new executive members to run the affairs of the union for the next four years.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the elections held yesterday at college auditorium in Birnin Kebbi, national assistant secretary of the union and the returning officer, Allassan Gimba Muhammad declared comrade Sirajo Mohammed Bello as chairman and Halima Mohammed Bande, secretary.

Other elected members, according to him, are Umar Arzika, treasurer, Hadiza Abubakar, Nuhu Yahaya, Ramatu Abubakar, Aliyu Magaji Argungu and Maikasuwa Abdullahi.

Gimba, who congratulates of the new members, charged them to dedicate themselves towards actualisation of the union dream in the state and the country.

He said the elections which was commenced nationwide in March will end in December this year.

The new chairman Sirajo Mohammed Bello had told Journalists that his main task was to unite both the new and the aggrieved members who lost out after the elections.

He promised to work hand in hand with other trade unions in the state in order to uplift NASU activities.
