Tinubu Meets Shettima, Akpabio, Govs Over State Of Economy

President Bola Tinubu has met with Vice President, Kashim Shettima, Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over the state of the economy.

Also in the closed-door meeting on Wednesday night were some state governors including the Kwara State governor and Chairman of the Nigeria governors forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq .

The Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma, Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his Ogun State colleague, Dapo Abiodun, as well as the former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje were also at the meeting.

 

Presidential Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, Mr Dele Alake, said the meeting also looked at how to finalize arrangements on the distribution of palliatives to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal.
