Gov Inuwa Sets Up C’ttee On Grazing Reserves, Cattle Routes

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the constitution of a 25-man committee for the assessment of grazing, forest and game reserves as well as cattle routes in the state.

Secretary to the state government Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the governor’s approval, disclosed that the committee is under the chairmanship of Zubairu Muazu Halilu, Rtd (Ubandoman Gombe) with Barr Ibrahim Hussain and Rabiu Abubakar as legal adviser and secretary respectively.

Members of the committee include Hammadu Abubakar (Katukan Gombe), Ibrahim Bappa (rtd), Muh’d Magaji Gettado, Col. Abdullahi Bello (rtd), Lamiya Simon, Ahmed Abubakar Walama (Sarkin Malaman Gombe), Malam Ibrahim Musa Miyabe and Col. Sani Adamu Depsia (rtd).

Others are Dr. Barnabas Malle, Ali Jijji Gadam, Umar Ahmad Suleiman, Shuaibu Umar Galadima, Mr. Dauda Batari Maaji, Hon. Mamman Alkali, Surv. Zakari Abubakar Difa, Surv. Umaru Lamido, Surv. Bakari Keletuma and  Modibbo Sadeeq Ahmed.

The committee also has as members state chairman of MACBAN, Modibbo Yahaya Gombe; state chairman, Kautal Hore, Ardo Chindo Abubakar; state chairman of Jode Jam, Alhaji Ahmed Bello Gombe; a representative each of commissioner of Police, director of Security and commandant of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

All the appointments are with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, governor Yahaya has approved the constitution of a committee for the Gombe State Quran Recitation Competition 2023 -2025.

Njodi conveyed the governor’s approval in a statement.

He said the committee is to be chaired by Sheikh Adamu Muhammad Ardo with Sheikh Naziru Idris, Mal Musa Adam Maihula, Mal Musa Hussaini,

Alhaji Abubakar Manga Usman (Danmakoyom Gombe), Dr Abubakar Sani Abdullahi and Mal Ibrahim Muhammad Barhama as members.

Also to serve as members of the committee are Mal Saidu Bappah Malala, Malama Halima Babaji and Malama Dayyibatu Umar, while the Coordinator of Islamic Religious Studies ( IRS) in the Ministry of Education, Malam Nasiru Ibrahim serves as Secretary.
