The Bill is expected to be cited as the Ebonyi State Boundary and Allied Matters Commission (Establishment) and Other Related matters Law 2023.

Giving insight on the bill, the leader of the House, Hon. Kingsley Ikoro, expressed worry over the persistent boundary disputes witnessed in the state  which he said has claimed many lives and properties worth billions destroyed.

He maintained that the new law  establishes a commission which will ensure the regular intra and inter communal crises among the different local government areas of the state will be addressed. He urged his colleagues to ensure that the bill was given accelerated passage.
