In a video shared via his verified Instagram account, Foxx thanked fans and loved ones for their support without disclosing the nature of the complication but addressed the severity of his condition when he was in the hospital.

While explaining the decision to keep his medical condition private, he said, “by being quiet, things get out of hand. Some people said I was blind but as you can see, the eyes are working fine. They said I was paralysed, I’m not paralysed but I went to hell and back.

“I went through something I never thought I’d go through. My road to recovery has some potholes as well but I’m coming back and I’m able to work. I love everybody and I love all the love that I got.”
