Justice Centus Chima Nweze of the Supreme Court is dead.

Also, Justice Peter Mallong of the Federal High Court (FHC) has also died on Sunday, after a brief illness.

The apex court of the land was thrown into mourning following the demise of Justice Nweze on Sunday.

Director of Press of the Supreme Court, Dr Festus Akande, and the Chief Registar of FHC, Hassan Amida Sulaiman, in seperate statements announced the sudden death of the two Justices.

The statement from the Chief Registrar of the Federal High Court reads: “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our own , Hon. Justice Peter Mallong, a Judge of the Federal High Court, who passed away on Sunday unexpectedly after a brief illness in Abuja.
