Apex Igbo socio cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has called on Southeast governors to collaborate with them so as to end the sit-at-home order within 40 days.

A statement by an Ohanaeze chieftain, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, flayed the involvement of Finland-based Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa in the criminality affecting the Southeast, noting that street urchins and criminals are using the sit-at-home order to cause violence in the region.

According to him, the Southeast region of Nigeria has been plagued by various challenges in recent times, including the sit-at-home order and violent agitations.

He noted that in response to these issues, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has issued a challenge to the Southeast governors.

“We have requested a 40-day period to address the situation and put an end to the sit-at-home order and the violence that has ensued.

“The call for the Southeast governors is a patriotic call; they should accept help from Ohanaeze Ndigbo. This is a call for collaboration and unity. It is essential for everyone involved to set aside personal differences and work towards a common goal, the restoration of peace and stability in the Southeast.
