Nigerian entertainment and broadcasting celebrities, Annie Macualay-Idibia, Omotunde Adebowale (aka Lolo I), and Emadomi Wilson (aka Ratata), are set for the kickoff of the arguably first ever children’s talent show Kellog’s Kids Show (KKS).

A nationwide children’s talent hunt reality show, the Kellog’s Kids Show aims at harness the many child talents wasting away in various parts of the country towards the discovery and launching to the world, new Nigerian stars.

Joined by the David Jones and Onyinyechi Ekumankama, the show’s host, Idibia, Lolo I and Ratata will play the role of judges, guardians and mentor to the children.

In an interview with E-Train, KKS producer, Chinaekwe Moses of Worship Flame Entertainment Hub limited, co-founder of the show with Development Standard Technologies Limited, said the show is for extremely talented Nigerian children between ages 8 and 14 years, who are willingly to showcase their talent to the world. KKS, he added will also bridge the gap between talents and their market (viewers).

“The show will bring in experts in each of the talent areas to guide and mentor the children through the path of success while being televised and celebrated on national broadcast station and online media platforms within and outside Nigeria.”

The eight weeks show will premiere with the children’s academy, live performances, viewers voting, eliminations and the emergence of a winner, who will receive an undisclosed cash prize, in addition to relevant tools to aid his/her talent to blossom to stardom.

Speaking on the significance of the show, Development Standard Technologies, Emmanuel Egbule, said the show was initiated owing to the absence of a televised talent hunt show in the country. KKS, he said is a guide to safe entertainment that neither pollutes or manipulate children minds, with negative morals as seen in some adult reality shows that could lead them to social vices and criminal activities.

“Nobody cares about the colossal waste of human resources and wealth in the country, which if well harnessed, could be of great economic benefits,” said Egbule.

Children on the Kellog’s Kids Show will display talents in areas as singing, dancing, musical instruments, painting, puppetry, comedy, deejaying, spoken words etc., while the winner walks away with prizes worth N5 million.
