” We should have in mind that Libya is engulfed in military crisis that is affecting the whole sahel region likewise Sudan. Allowing any form of military engagements in West Africa now will cause a lot of humanitarian crisis that will not benefit Africa but the western Nations and military contractors who will come with various proposals to market their arms. This is why we are happy with the stance of the leadership of the military junta and we sincerely hope that the leadership of ECOWAS will accept the olive branch of the junta. Hopefully, we will be ready to be part of the process to bring about lasting peace in the country” the statement said.

In a related development, the International Spokesman of the association Amb Emmanuel Nkweke said to buttress the position of the association, it will be holding an international press conference in Abuja the Nigerian capital with Eminent Peace Ambassadors from the West African Nations in attendance.
