The investigative hearing of the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on Job Racketeering did not hold yesterday as scheduled due to the swearing- in of ministers by President Bola Tinubu.

The committee which is investigating Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Parastatals and Tertiary Institutions’ Mismanagement of Personnel Recruitment, Employment Racketeering and Gross Mismanagement of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) moved the hearing to today.

The chairman of the panel, Hon Yusuf Gagdi, said the shift was to enable heads of agencies, parastatals, departments and other institutions to attend or participate in the swearing in ceremony of ministers which coincided with the hearing.

Gagdi in a statement made available to parliamentary reporters said, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCDA) was to make a presentation before the panel and other agencies which were asked to bring more submissions after their appearance last week.

He said the revelations made since the investigative hearings started on August 1 will aid the Ad-hoc Committee to make informed decisions in its final recommendations to the House.
